'F1 Car Safety' is a dual display installation in The Tech Lab zone at Silverstone Museum. It gives visitors an opportunity to learn about and discover the technology of the safety features used in Formula 1 race cars.

Visitors use a touch screen to rotate and explore points of interest on a wireframe F1 car. Projected on the wall immediately in front of the touch screen is a secondary display that shows a 3D rendered Formula 1 car, matching rotation with the wireframe car on the touch screen.

Selecting a point of interest on the touch screen moves the camera view on the secondary screen in for a closer look. It then reveals a video by an F1 engineer who talks about that point of interest.
