WAR REPORTER

2021

In October 2021, Imperial War Museum London opened the Second World War Gallery. I developed five interactives for this exhibition.

'War Reporter' is an interactive experience controlled by physical, touchable objects. Visitors use the objects to make selections and build their own newspaper headline covering the evacuation of Dunkirk. The choice of wording and photos for the headline allows visitors to give the story a positive or negative feeling. There are 81 different combinations in total.

The interactive is displayed on a 32", 1080 x 1920 portrait screen, and is controlled by a range of objects including a telephone, two push buttons and two rotating rollers with words on them.
